We are open March to October, with an on site warden most weekends, and we allow well behaved pets.

The C.L. is Adults only, and has toilet and shower facilities, and 16 amp Electric Hook Ups. The Tariff is £14.00 per night. Please note we only accept cash payment.

Services

We operate a Bed and Breakfast next to the C.L. and a private hire (Taxi) service.

The local area is also well served by very good pubs and restaurants, as well as local farm shops for meats, bread and cakes!

History

We started the C.L. because we wanted to share our lifestyle with people who would appreciate the beautiful scenery and animals that are around us. We didn't realise it would also bring us new friends, as many people are return visitors.

The C.L. also gave our neighbours in-laws another string to their bow, as they come to visit on a weekend, and take the role of wardens, looking after our campers, and the general maintainance of the C.L. which they do to a very high standard. Thanks M&D.

It was mostly due to Maureen and David's hard work, that we were voted 3rd best C.L. of 2010 and 2012 and we were invited to the Houses of Parliament for the presentation, it was here that we were made aware of how much caravaners bring to local communities, by buying and running caravans, and using local amenities whilst staying in the U.K. The Caravan Club is very well supported by the Government.

Testimonials

Charming CL Caravan Park   Just the sort of site we enjoy. We stayed over for a couple of nights in our motorhome late November. Charming location; interesting animals to see in the adjacent field; geese and ducks living in the pond lower in the grounds. Convenient water station and disposal point; Good electricity supply. Excellent location for visiting York. The warm friendly welcome and help in very wet weather was much appreciated. Thanks
